YAY for Sundays

Happy Kaiya and a Yummy Dessert. What could be any better. I really wanted to make some kind of a dessert to fulfill my sweet tooth. But going through my cabinets I realize all I had was Peanut butter and Popcorn haha. Well I googled Peanut Butter and Popcorn ( Thank goodness for Google) and came up with this yummy dessert. So I made it but I added a scoop of our Nutella (hazelnut chocolate spread) to it. It actually turned out really good.
Ingredients
* 1/2 cup light corn syrup (or golden syrup)
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/2 cup peanut butter
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 6-8 cups popped popcorn
Directions
In small pan melt together corn syrup and sugar.
Add peanut butter and melt.
Be careful not to boil mixture too much, the peanut butter will start to burn.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Stir mixture over popcorn.

Our new place

Just a few pictures, sorry its kinda messy still getting settled in.

Letter Boxing

So my sister told us about Letter Boxing. Brett had heard of it before but called a different name. Well we decided to go find one today. For those of you who don't know what it is, people hide a box in random places and then give you clues as to where to find it. It took a little bit cause it said it was hidden in a flag heart shaped box. But when we found it it was in a film case. Anyways, whats funny is it was in a place that we always pass when ever we go to this park and never knew it was there.

Trials

So for those of you who don't know, this last week has been a very trailing one for us. We have been trying to get our apartment management to let us move for awhile because our whole place smelled like smoke and was giving Kaiya a cough and making us all smell bad. Well last Tuesday they called and said they had an apartment we could move into but we would have to move by that weekend. We were way excited to be able to move. The apartment they had was one of the newer ones. They are bigger, have a laundry room and a huge screened in patio. But It was going to be kinda hard to get everything packed and ready to go in such short notice. On top of it all Brett had a Massage CE class that weekend and was going to be out of town. So really we had to try to be moved by Saturday. Well long story short thanks to amazing friends and an awesome Mother in Law we got it done. I am soo grateful for the friendships we have found out here. It really helps to feel like you have family when yours is so far away. Also Brett's Mom is Amazing. I have no clue where she gets her energy done but she is always ready to help on the shortest notice. Well After getting everything done that Saturday night the Lady I have been Nannying for calls to tell me she quit her job, so in return I was out of a job. Well with the economy the way it is I knew Brett and I were gonna be in some trouble. It's been pretty hard to deal with the stress of not knowing whats going to happen and how we are going to make it. Thank goodness for Brett reminding me all the time everything will work out. I starting to feel like it will. Nothing has really changed though he is looking for a second job so I can stay home with Kaiya, but I am also keeping my eye out for another babysitting job to help. Neither one of us want Kaiya to end up in daycare. But I will say I have enjoyed so much just being a Mom and wife this week. I love being able to spend so much time just focusing on the two of them. I am happier, eating healthier, exercising and all around a happier person. Its weird cause I should be losing my mind. But I guess I know that wouldn't help much. Anyways Keep us in your prayers that the right job will come along.

Fun Times

Kaiya is such a happy baby. My favorite thing she does now is, when you talk to her she will look at ya and coo back. Its so cute how hard she is trying to communicate. She is also laughing and smiling soo much more. Oh I just love her so much.

I LOVE TO WATCH HER SLEEP!

Tummy Time

Kaiya surprised me today during tummy time when she held her head up for awhile. She is already scooting but has been rubbing her head in the carpet as she goes. I guess she got sick of the rug burn to the face. Maybe she'll crawl early. AHHH SCARY!!

Dad Can I have some?

Baby Blues

Tropical Storm Hanna

Was a total DUD! We were actually pretty excited about it. The rain started pretty early on Friday and was off and on pouring. But as it got closer the rain died down and the wind picked up. The eye of the storm was suppose to pass us around 3 in the morning. We waited up for it, but because the internet and TV was out we didn't know it had taken turn and headed more inland. So we waited for nothing but a lot of wind. Finally closer to 4 we just couldn't stay up any longer and headed to bed. Today we went down to the beach to check things out. You couldn't tell at all anything had happened but they did have people out and ready. Oh well we at least got to stay up and spend some time together.

Camping

Camping

Well Brett, Kaiya and I went camping this weekend with Brett's family. 4 of his 7 sisters were there with their families and his parents. Kaiya did so good on our 7 hour drive to the mountains. She slept most of the way and Brett and I got through the ABC game twice :). It was so fun to be up in the mountains and just have some time away from the daily grind. Brett and I took this huge air mattress which after blowing it up we realized it took up the entire 4 man tent. So we had to put Kaiya's bassinet on the air mattress. Every time we would move it would rock it and wake her up. Made for a few really fun nights. We will have to plan better next time. The first day Brett and I did some fishing in the morning with little kaiya strapped on in her snuggli. Oh yeah THANK YOU CATHI. Kaiya loves the snuggli that Cathi brought us. Which made the trip so much easier. Then that afternoon we went to a river that had a rock that you could jump off of. Brett had so much fun doing back flips and dives off of it. Of course I had fun watching. The water was freezing but it was all a lot of fun. We left a little earlier then the rest to break up the drive going back. We went to Brett's parents house which was a 4 1/2 hour drive of Kaiya crying almost the entire time, poor girl. Then we ended the camping weekend out right, in the hot tub. We headed home the next day and just relaxed before going to go play games with some friends. What a busy fun weekend. Thanks Leslie for Planning the camping trip for the Fam, Thanks Mom and Dad for the hot tub and everything else you did for us this weekend. Thanks Brett for putting up with Kaiya in I in the car that long. :)

Finally

My internet is finally working again, after 8 hours of going to 5 stores and being on hold and working with crappy customer service reps. I am soo frustrated. I waited on hold a total of 50 minutes for customer service for credit and was hung up on twice. So I will worry about that tomorrow for tonight I am just happy to have it back on. Poor Kaiya had a lot of car seat time.
